SIP Calculator
A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) invests a fixed rupee amount on a regular schedule, usually monthly, into a mutual fund or similar vehicle. This calculator compounds each instalment at the monthly rate implied by the expected annual return you type, then adds them up to a terminal corpus.
Calculator Universe is published by SmartAI Labs. The panel above is the interactive SIP Calculator; the rest of this page is ordinary HTML so you can read how the tool works without waiting for the app to boot.
How the SIP Calculator works
A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) invests a fixed rupee amount on a regular schedule, usually monthly, into a mutual fund or similar vehicle. This calculator compounds each instalment at the monthly rate implied by the expected annual return you type, then adds them up to a terminal corpus.
Formula / method. FV = P × [((1 + i)^n − 1) / i] × (1 + i), where P is the monthly amount, i is expected annual return ÷ 12, and n is the number of months. Invested amount is P × n; estimated gain is FV − invested.
When to use it. Use it to sanity-check a monthly investment against a goal (child’s education, a house down-payment, retirement top-up). Do not use it as a fund picker: it does not know expense ratio, exit load, or tax unless you also open Fund Fees.
How to run a comparison
- Open SIP Calculator from Home search, the Finance Studio hub, or this URL.
- Copy amounts, rates or dates from a document you already have — not a round marketing figure.
- Read the headline result and any breakdown (schedule, slabs, or intermediate rows).
- Change one input at a time so you can see what actually moves the answer.
- Cross-check with a related calculator below, then confirm statutory rates before you act.
Nothing you type is uploaded for server-side processing. Save or screenshot an output if you need it later; we do not keep a server-side history.
Notes and assumptions
Return is constant every month. Real NAV paths bounce. The default does not deduct TER, STT or capital-gains tax. For irregular dates use XIRR instead.
Results are estimates for education and planning only. They are not financial, tax, medical, or legal advice. Slabs, scheme rates and product terms change; verify against official notifications or a qualified professional before acting.
