How the XIRR Calculator works

Formula / method. Solve r in Σ CFᵢ / (1 + r)^(dᵢ − d₀)/365 = 0. Purchases are negative, redemptions and the final valuation are positive (or the sign convention you enter).
When to use it. Use it on a real transaction list exported from a registrar or broker. CAGR on the same folio will be wrong if money went in or out mid-way.
